What is club and country?

Club and country refers to the two different types of soccer competitions.

Club means a local city/region’s professional team and can include players from all over the world. Clubs play in leagues with teams from other cities or towns.

Country means an international team comprised of players from the same country. International teams play in tournaments such as the World Cup, Olympics, Euros and Copa América.

Example: Lionel Messi’s club is Inter Miami, his country is Argentina.
